The weekend of Easter Egg Hunts!
He was all smiles!
Once the eggs reached the cart, he then wanted to throw them back in the grass.
Our family!
Caden and Mommy!
All the egg hunters counting up their findings.
Caden and Mimi.
4 generations!
Faith got a Kazoo for a prize and Caden loved it!
We hope everyone had a great Easter!Caden experienced his first egg hunt this past weekend. He experienced quite a few as a matter of fact. The first being on Saturday at Ryan and Angie's house...thanks guys, it was a great time. After getting home later that day Jason then took Caden out for another hunt because they had such a great time that morning. Caden laughed a giggled a ton. On Sunday we went to my Dad's for lunch and Jason and I hid around 100 or so eggs for Caleb, Faith, Jordan and Caden.
Needlesss to say, the Easter eggs are still under Caden's crib in his wagon for another hunt each day. It looks like it will be Easter all year long at the McDaniel's. The egg hunts were one of our fondest memories as a family so far. Jason and I laughed at Caden as much as he laughed. We love being parents. He's a joy.

UNC is #1!
Our little man's room is decked out in a UNC basketball theme. Here's Caden and Daddy holding up the #1!
Interesting fact: UNC won a national championship the year Jason was born...27 years later the same is true for his son.
Two of my favorite people.
Reggie, Lauran, Perry, Jason and Shane.
The crazies on Franklin Street jumping over the bon fire. They were expecting many thousands of people on Franklin Street last night.
That's right. Our basketball team won the national championship last night. The McDaniel household is thrilled and it's exciting for our campus too. In hopes that they would win Jason and Shane met Perry, Lauran and Reggie (a UNC recruit who's finishing up his junior year at KHS) at the Dean Dome to watch the game. They had a blast. Jason said it was pretty crazy and exciting inside. He took pictures for me so I could experience some of the excitement on campus too.
Caden and I chilled at home of course. I think our little guy would have been a little afraid of all the hooping and hollering. Caden cheered from his crib and I cheered from my living room sofa.
Go Heels!

Wedding Bells
Caroline, Elizabeth, Katie, Melissa, and Taylor
Which toilet paper wedding gown do you like the best?
Opening up the lingerie...
Ms. Pam waiting for the water to cool to soak her feet.
In Myrtle Beach a few weeks ago Stacey and I bought Caden and Conner the same outfit. We made a pack that we would take their picture together this weekend. They looked like 2 little old men together. So cute.

Campus Harvest and Staff Summit
Michele and Isaac Dameron from Greenville. Caden enjoyed Isaac a ton and I loved spending time with Michele.
Caden loved this rocking cow that was in the nursery at church.
We have just finished the biggest and the best week of our semester as of last night at 10pm. PHEW! Needless to say, Jason, Caden and myself are all extremely tired, but very excited about what God is doing on campuses around the world.
Friday through Sunday was a conference called Campus Harvest hosted by our church in Durham, KPIC. Each year over 2,000 college students flood RDU for this conference and it's amazing. It's basically a weekend of seeking God with other students and campus ministers from the US and abroad.
Then, Sunday through Wednesday was our annual ENCM staff summit. These few days of staff training always follow the weekend of Campus Harvest since we are all in the same place anyways.
Of course my experience of Campus Harvest and Staff Summit was much different this year with Caden Jase McDaniel here...but I loved it. He loved it too. I can say with confidence that our son is a people person. He and I sat in an entrance way for most of the conference and when people walked by he stuck out his hand for them to touch him. Absolutely most did. Who can resist that little smile? Here are some pictures of Caden's time!

A Night with Bill Cosby and Angie!
The man himself. Pic taken from a balcony. I appologize for his funny expression.
So Sunday was such a fun night for me. We had just finished up a long weekend (I will explain more later) and it was finally time to use the tickets Jason got me for my birthday. I was thrilled. All the excitement started a few months ago, November, when I opened up my birthday gift from my husband and what did I find...tickets to hear Bill Cosby speak in the newly renovated Arts Center in Durham. Then in January Jason informed me of the sad news that he could no longer attend with me. He had a meeting he could not miss and changing it was out of his control. Oh I felt so sad, but then I asked Angie and she was excited to go with me. To say the least we had a wonderful time.
My love for Bill Cosby started when I was very young. I am loud and proud to say that my favorite show to this day is still the Cosby show. I am only missing a few seasons from my collection of DVD's. So Bill did a great job. He was funny of course. A night with my girl was great. We had a little pizza afterwards which you know is the perfect end to any night for me.
Thanks sis for going. Love you.

A weekend of fun!
Just this past weekend I had the privilege to join in a weekend of celebration for Elizabeth's marriage to Bryan in just a few short weeks. Elizabeth is my oldest friend. We have been close since I was probably 4 or 5. She's my homegirl for life. It's an honor to share in this special time with her.
So it was a weekend of celebration in Myrtle Beach, S.C. I enjoyed being around girls and doing girls things. Getting tickled was an hourly event. Just so fun. Why is it when a group of girls get together and all they do is laugh?
I drove down to Myrtle Beach on Friday night and met everyone at a restaurant. On Saturday we went shopping of course and then had the big night for Elizabeth where we went out to eat and went shagging. She looked so cute dressed up in her bachelorette attire.
I love you Elizabeth and am so thankful to share life with you.
